Molli—Steve left for Seattle this afternoon and won’t be back until Thursday. I have a lot of work to get done to keep me busy during the day–but if you and/or your mom would like to go see a movie in later afternoon or evening this week, let me know. I’d love the company!

Thank you so much Brenda! I think I want to go to school for art around santa cruz or maybe even san fransisco..When Tonya gets back i’m going to ask her if she has any advice! Gosh I wish I had a cool inspiration for this- but it was for my drawing techniques class..so it was from a reference in a magazine. Lately i’ve been painting..so I’ll post my paintings here soon :)

I am so happy to hear you want to go to art School.Santa Cruz or San Fransico would be great places to go to school and I am sure Sarah and Shelby and Josh and Tonya and little Bella would love to have you around :) . I look forwards to your painting!

Come on down Molli and bring your friend Sterling if you like. I heard from Shelby that you did an amazing portrait of him.

As far as Art school I’m sure there are some awesome schools in S.F. in Santa Cruz there is UCSC which has both a great art program and art history (which I am hoping to join in a years time) also there is the community college (Cabrillo) which they’ve made pretty easy to transfer from to UCSC, the main benifit being cheaper tuition (one of the reasons I love California) and I’m guessing it might also make it easier to get into UCSC (like all art programs or schools, they only let in so many).

Really though the big decision to make is if you want to go to a ART school, or get a Degree in Fine Arts or go the route I’m going and major in Art History while also studying studio art. It sound so cheesy but I had a real life turning experience (4-5 years ago) I was depressed and picked up a book called Careers in Art. I had never considered myself a real Artist (just artistic) and so never considered a career but as I read this book it was like they were describing me (told you it was cheesy). I was so excited to have some direction in my life even with out knowing exactly what I wanted to do. As time and classes went by I discovered my heart lies in Art History. As an artist I feel I can learn so much from the past, and in a way stay more true to myself.

Thanks Tonya! Cabrillo sounds nice, I just researched it a little. I am just deciding whether I want to maybe take a couple classes at Cocc before moving to California, or just do it fast, that way I won’t sstay in Bend forever haha. I am thinking about studying Nutrition (Good to know since I have a bunch of food allergies) And art. Maybe I will be a nutritionist that sells art on the side! That sounds pleasent, eh? I think Sterling and I are comin to visit here pretty soon for a while, so we can talk more and maybe you can give me a tour of Cabrillo :)

sounds great Bella would love to see you (as would we). If you must stay in Bend for a while COCC really has some great teachers.

  11. molli replied:

:) . Ahhh Tonya I am so stressed, I don’t know what to do. I am getting Spring term at Cocc paid for by my highschool..I am thinking I should probably move to California soon if I want to get in state tuition, because at Cabrillo..do you have to wait a year for in-state tuition? fjadilrgjadiogjl haha.
